Lemurs are a special group of primates found only on Madagascar and the Comoro Islands. Ring-Tailed Lemurs (Lemur catta) are the most well known and are the only existing lemur that is active during the day. Although numerous, ring-tailed lemurs are listed as vulnerable because their habitat is diminishing at a high rate.
