221 Short-Snouted Seahorse Tea Towel Set

$40.00
Minus Plus

Short-Snouted Seahorse organic cotton hemp kitchen tea towels. When there's too many stray crumbs or you're in search for last-minute dining room décor, these kitchen towels come in handy to wipe up any spills, dry dishes, or add a touch of spunk to your table. Set of two of like design. Classic, versatile size: 17 x 26 inches. Vibrant, never fade prints on the front. White back with hanging loop.

What is the difference between a tea towel and a dish towel? Tea towels are only made of linen or cotton, whereas dish towels can also be made of terry cloth.

Original artwork © 2010 Samara E. King & TwoBee, LLC rendered in color pencil for Monterey Bay Aquarium.

The snout of the Short-Snouted Seahorse (Hippocampus hippocampus) is bowl shaped, and is less than a third of the total head length. This proportion makes the eyes appear much larger. Residents of sea-grasses and seaweeds, the short snouted seahorse can be found in the Mediterranean Sea and parts of the North Atlantic, particularly around Italy and the Canary Islands. Colonies of this species have recently been discovered in the River Thames around London. Learn more about short-snouted seahorses and seahorse conservation at: https://www.projectseahorse.org/blog/2019/2/27/hippocampus-hippocampus-the-short-snouted-seahorse-in-the-uk
